Our client, a leading organization in the mining industry, is seeking a Building and Grounds Technician to join their team. As a Building and Grounds Technician, you will be part of the Building and Grounds department supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the mine site. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Building and Grounds Technician Location: GILLETTE, WY Pay Range: $23/hour Shift: TBD What's the Job? Perform maintenance across the mine site, including buildings, landscaping, and other areas as needed Ensure all work is completed safely and promotes safe behaviors among team members Read and interpret maintenance manuals, drawings, and parts books to facilitate repairs Maintain and repair mine pumps, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment Perform plumbing, carpentry, welding, and landscaping tasks, including sprinkler systems and concrete structures What's Needed? Willingness to achieve MSHA certification and read electrical schematics Skills in arc and gas welding, including multi-pass welding and torch setup Experience with mechanical repairs such as overhead doors, compressors, and water mains Ability to operate heavy machinery like backhoes, forklifts, skid loaders, and dump trucks Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping, including sprinkler systems What's in it for me?
