Interstate Power Systems Overview We are seeking a skilled and
motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Casper,
Wyoming. The technician will perform maintenance, repairs, and
troubleshooting on a diverse range of equipment, including trucks,
heavy machinery, workover rigs, frac equipment, and generators.
This role requires a self-starter who can work independently in the
field, starting most days from their home. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of equipment,
including trucks, workover rigs, frac equipment, generators, and
other heavy machinery. Perform routine preventive maintenance to
ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to
identify and resolve issues efficiently. Document service
activities, including parts used, time spent, and detailed repair
notes. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to
provide updates on equipment status and service needs. Adhere to
all safety protocols and regulations while working in the field.
Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies to ensure readiness
for service calls. Travel to various field locations around Casper,
Wyoming, as required. Qualifications Required: High school diploma
or equivalent; technical training or certification in diesel
mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service technician or
similar role working on heavy equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude
and troubleshooting skills across multiple equipment types (trucks,
workover rigs, frac equipment, generators, etc.). Valid driver’s
license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently
with minimal supervision in a field environment. Excellent
problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong
communication and customer service skills. Willingness to work in
various weather conditions and respond to emergency service calls
as needed. Preferred: Experience working on MTU, Allison
Transmissions, and/or Detroit Diesel equipment. Certification in
relevant equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE,
manufacturer-specific training). Familiarity with hydraulic and
electrical systems specific to frac equipment and workover rigs.
Work Environment This is a field-based position with most work
performed at customer sites around Casper, Wyoming. Technicians
will typically start their day from home, traveling directly to job
sites. The role involves working outdoors in various weather
conditions and may require occasional overtime or on-call
