About the Role As a Wind Turbine Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping wind turbines running safely and efficiently. This position is primarily full travel , with assignments across the U.S. There are some roles which are location-specific and will be noted on any job posting. What You’ll Do Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain components. Troubleshoot equipment and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure turbine performance and safety. Work in varying conditions, including heights up to 300 feet, confined spaces, and diverse weather. Follow strict safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture. Maintain detailed records of all service and repair activities. Requirements: What We’re Looking For Airstreams School graduate (required) Comfortable working at heights, with mechanical/electrical aptitude. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel extensively. Active GWO certifications preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb on a ladder system with tools and equipment to a height of at least 260 feet. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to climb and work for prolonged periods in potential extreme weather. Must be able to enter and exit confined spaces for purpose of accessing mechanical parts. Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be able to work beyond normal operating hours as determined by business demands.
