The Health Information Management team is dedicated to going beyond conventional boundaries to exceed client needs. We contribute to total client satisfaction by preparing for and clarifying client needs, and work closely with other team members to ensure invisible follow-through and timely results.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The employee shall comply with all safety and health standards, and all rules, regulations, and orders which are applicable to the individual's own position, actions, and conduct.Performs electronic chart analysis and re-analysis of records (all patient types) on Horizon Patient Folder.Assigns ICD-9 Codes to outpatient testing orders for billing and statistical purposes.Trains new physicians on the use of Horizon Patient Folder and Physician Portal.Is responsible for warning and suspending physicians for incomplete records.Processes release of information requests (copying and tracking).Enters patient type corrections in Star and Horizon Patient Folder.Merges duplicate medical record numbers in Star and Horizon Patient Folder.Performs additional duties as required or delegated.
