The CNA II works in conjunction with the Nurse Director, Clinical
Care Supervisor, RN and LPN. The Certified Nurse Assistant II
performs a variety of skills/tasks for predictable
residents/patients/clients with limited risk of complications and
change. The CNA II may not be delegated CNA II skills for acutely
ill patients. The CNA II works under the direction of a licensed
nurse who must follow the principles of delegation. CNA II work is
reflective of CCMH mission, vision, and values. The CNA II will
integrate departmental goals for improvement across the care
continuum. The CNA II practices within the framework of the Wyoming
Nurse Practice Act, and the National Patient Safety Goals.

- In order to be certified as a CNA II a certified nursing
assistant must:

- Be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of

- Have a high school diploma or a GED - - - - - - - -
- Have a current unencumbered Wyoming certified nursing assistant
certificate (with on time renewal) - - - - - - - -
- Must have completed at least one thousand five hundred (1500)
documented hours of work as a certified nursing assistant - - - - -

- Must be a graduate from a state or board approved CNA II
training and competency evaluation program
