Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/20/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring Level II NICU and Mother-Baby experience in a rotating 12-hour shift schedule. Responsibilities Position is in a Level II Neonatal ICU and general nursery within a Maternal Child unit Patient population includes neonates 32 weeks gestation and above Minimal ventilator use; infants requiring more than 24 hours ventilation are transferred Five-bed Level II nursery and fifteen-bed general nursery located in the same area Attendance at all deliveries and C-sections is required May float to Mother-Baby unit as census requires Charting and documentation utilize Meditech (orders) and GE Centricity (charting) Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts with self-scheduling in 6-week blocks Expectation to work at least three weekends or a holiday per 6-week schedule as needed RN will attend all births and C-sections and provide neonatal care in Level II and general nursery May provide care in the Mother-Baby unit when NICU census is low Team-oriented environment with self-scheduling and opportunities for extra shifts Scrubs are provided by the department Willingness to schedule extra shifts is optional, and additional shift may be adjusted based on census Requirements Active WY or compact RN license required by start date, eligibility for temp license considered Minimum 2 years of recent Level II NICU experience required Mother-Baby nursing experience required Certifications required: BLS (AHA), NRP STABLE certification preferred Must pass background screening for temporary licensure eligibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618703.
