(SLP) Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) delivers
direct rehabilitation services in speech therapy to patients based
on physician referrals and in compliance with regulatory standards.
This role necessitates an accredited degree, ASHA certification or
eligibility, state licensure, and expertise in treatment planning,
documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The position

apply! Our organization has full-time and PRN positions available
for speech-language pathologists, featuring in-house rehabilitation
programs, continuing education, growth opportunities, and
mentorship within a network of nearly 200 facilities across 26
states. Position Summary The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is
responsible for providing direct rehabilitation care in speech
therapy to patients upon physician referral, adhering to all
relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements Graduation from
an accredited speech therapy program (minimum MS or MA in SLP) ASHA
certification (CCCs) OR eligibility for a 9-month Clinical
Fellowship Year (CFY) to obtain ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or
meet ASHA credentialing criteria. Maintenance of ASHA credentialing
is required once achieved. Current registration/licensure in the
applicable state, with an obligation to maintain an active license
in good standing throughout employment. Preferred one (1) year of
experience in a post-acute care or similar setting. CPR
certification required upon hire or to be obtained during
orientation, with the necessity to keep it current throughout
employment. Specific Job Responsibilities Engage in community
health initiatives/projects as appropriate. Proficient in Microsoft
Word, Excel, and email communication. Collaborate with patients,
families, and support departments to effectively plan for patient
needs. Exhibit proper body mechanics at all times. Demonstrate the
ability to make independent decisions when necessary. Familiarity
with practices, procedures, and regulations governing functions in
a post-acute care facility. Implement and interpret departmental
programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Perform
competently in all areas, including patient rights, safety, and
sanitation. Maintain professional relationships with all
colleagues, vendors, etc. Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary
and confidential information. Understand and adhere to
organizational policies, including those related to harassment and
compliance. Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the
organization’s Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance
training. Essential Functions Establish, assess, and adjust
realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals. (SLP CCC only)
Supervise and evaluate care provided by SLP CFYs. (SLP CFY only)
Follow speech therapy treatment plans for patients under the
guidance of the supervising SLP CCC, in accordance with federal and
state regulations. Document appropriately and in a timely manner.
Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively. Provide
excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards
patients. Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary.
Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance. Employ reasoning
skills and sound judgment in all situations. Communicate
effectively and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary
team. Engage in various physical activities such as sitting,
standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking,
reaching, and moving intermittently during working hours. Read,
