The Inventory Specialist is responsible for working with all internal and external customers of Power Service. Assist in attaining the highest possible levels of inventory accuracy and turn rates.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with ABC Cycle Count annual compliance
  • Assist with both internal and external audits
  • Effectively communicate issues impacting inventory accuracy.
  • Accountability and Training
  • Provide support and guidance for processing surplus inventory for credit.
  • Cycle Count Process Training and Compliance Reporting
  • NCR Process Training
  • Assist with annual Process Review
  • Maintain storage location and item dimensions and weights
  • Projects - as required
  • Follow approval process for reconciliation of variances
  • Maintain documentation for adjustments for SOX Compliance
  • Communications with branch and DC personnel to resolve inventory variances
  • Investigate with Security and Facilities for any Loss Prevention Issues
  • Maintain Cycle Count Discrepancy Reports
  • Must understand and comply with all workplace safety policies of DNOW.
  • All work assignments must be carried out to the highest quality service level.
  • Insures compliance with personnel policies and government HSE employment practices.
  • Other Duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years in an inventory integrity/control related position preferred.
  • Ability to proficiently multi-task on a daily basis.
  • Effective account management and customer service skill sets.
  • Knowledge of strategic and tactical problem solving capabilities.
  • Understand assigned budgetary and fiscal responsibility requirements.
  • Strong ethical compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to engender effective leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel and SAP Skills
  • Strong workplace resiliency capabilities.
