_*This is a seasonal position (mid-April through mid-October) that requires you to work in Yellowstone National Park, WY.*_*High volume, fast-paced and fun!*We operate 47 dining venues, including dining rooms, fast-casual, cafeterias, bars, employee facilities, delis and snack shops. Almost half of Yellowstone's summer staff work for the Food and Beverage Operation! If you are interested in starting or enhancing your food and beverage career, the kitchen is a great place to start. Your work schedule is typically 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays). Time and a half is paid above 40 hours.* *Dining Room Server: *Provide guests with excellent service by accurately describing menu items, making menu suggestions, providing prompt service, and sharing your knowledge of the park. _\ *Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required. Workshop will be provided if not currently certified._* *Dining Room Server Assistant: *Help guests, servers and hosts in our dining rooms by clearing, cleaning and resetting tables and keeping beverage glasses filled. And, as with all of our front of the house staff, Server Assistants answer guests' questions, listen to stories of adventure and share their own enthusiasm for the Park.* *Host: *Responsible for greeting and seating guests, taking reservations, using a seating chart to organize table rotation, and assisting with other dining room operations as needed.*Qualifications** Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.* Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.* Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly: Service procedures, beverage and food menus as appropriate, operation of point of sales system.* Knowledge of menu, specials and features.* Knowledge of basic sanitation.* Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required.
