In this role you will be accountable for:Performing layouts, setting up and operating conventional machine tools as requiredReading and interpreting all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancingDesigning setup methods where none existInstructing other shop personnel on proper machining techniquesContinually improving methods to deliver higher quality with improved costs To succeed in this role, you will need:Completion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent trainingAbility to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspectionsAbility to setup machine tools: ID / OD Grinders, Turret Lathe, Engine Lathe, Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Boring Mill, Radial Drill, Planer MillFour years of experience in machine shop operationsWillingness to work in a team environmentOpenness to working overtime as requiredWhat we offer you:401K plan with up to a 6% company match (additional benefits are available after 1 year of employment)Comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disabilityHealth savings account with employer matching4 weeks of paid parental leaveMotivating wellness programPaid time off plus 11 paid holidaysSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
