  JOB SUMMARY
  
  The Maintenance Mechanic works under the supervision of the Engineering Manager/ Supervisor, to perform general maintenance duties. Assists other trades in completing maintenance and repair tasks.
  
  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  
  
  • 
    
  • Performs scheduled (PM) Maintenance on assigned equipment.
    
  • Performs unscheduled/ corrective maintenance on the building, equipment and hospital work orders as assigned.
    
  • Troubleshoots problems accurately and takes initiative to repair, research and resolve problems.
    
  • Instructs fellow trades persons in application of specialized troubleshooting and repair techniques as directed.
    
  • Submits purchase requisitions to maintain adequate repair parts and supplies.
    
  • Performs snow removal tasks.
    
  • Make security rounds to check spaces and secure building.
    
  • Makes equipment rounds to check equipment assigned for operation and safety.
    
  • Stand duties as a Shift Engineer as per shift schedule.
    
  • Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
    
  • Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
    
  • Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive.

          • Minimum of three years of similar work experience.

            • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
              
            • Ability to design and create layouts.
