Job Description:
Construction ManagerVisionary Broadband seeks a qualified
individual to fulfill the role of Construction Manager. This
full-time, salaried position will join the Fiber team at Visionary
Broadband, a division of Visionary Communications, Inc., one of the
top service providers in the region. The position will be located
in Gillette WY. Job Overview:As the Construction Manager, you will
work on a project basis with our Fiber team, with a focus on permit
and easement acquisition, right of way Construction, and overseeing
projects to completion based on affected timelines. This includes,
but is not limited to, maintaining established relationships with
entities such as pole owners, municipalities, counties, townships,
and more to obtain easements in an expeditious manner based on
provided fiber designs. In addition, the Construction Manager will
work with Visionary Engineers & Construction Managers to maintain
project timelines, budget, and scope, ensuring all affected parties
are notified and work can continue. A successful candidate will
have experience managing projects that involve single and multiple
teams. You will be asked to utilize this experience to file
easements, utility pole attachment agreements, and organize job
aspects such as financial spend tracking, material orders, and data
on a project. The Construction Manager will serve as the
administrative lead on fiber projects and will provide direct
reporting to the VP of Fiber. Duties and Responsibilities: ---
Oversee Visionary Fiber's project management platform and job
tracking resources --- With Engineering team and other company
resources, file proper easements for fiber construction with local
authorities, and track accordingly within Colorado, Wyoming, and
future states--- With Engineering team and other company resources,
file pole attach agreements for fiber construction with proper
authorities, and track accordingly--- As necessary to maintain
project schedules, with leadership and Engineering team, research
and develop methodologies and resources for quicker easement/right
of way acquisition--- Collaborate with Accounting and Engineering
to help ensure financial aspects of a fiber build are tracked
appropriately--- Take part in weekly project calls to keep team
members apprised of statuses of easements, permits, right of way,
and other jobs--- Analyze and develop internal processes and
implement procedural changes as appropriate to enhance Visionary
Broadband's success--- Provide budgetary and timeline-based
reporting on fiber projects--- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:A qualified candidate must possess the following
skills, or have equivalent experience and/or qualifications:3+
years of Construction Management experience, preferably in the
fiber or telecommunications industry. Excellent communication
skills, both verbal and written.Excellent organizational skills and
must be detail oriented.Great knowledge of all Microsoft Office
applications, as well as ability to quickly learn and work within
proprietary computer applications.Flexibility to work outside of
standard 8am-5pm hours and be willing to travel on a limited basis.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated
problem solving abilitiesPhysical Requirements:This position
requires sitting to complete work with a computer using a variety
of software applications and telephone.15%+ / - of the time will be
spent walking and standing in the field with various weather
conditions, as well as occasional lifting and / or carrying and /
or pushing / pulling of items less than 25lbs. Visual and audio
acuity is essential to this position.Visionary is often on the
