Responsible for selecting, coaching, and developing employees Implements and supports Company programs and policies. Directly responsible for plant production, equipment and maintenance reliability, and personnel productivity.Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by observing safety and security procedures, and reporting/correcting potentially unsafe conditions as outlined in the PacifiCorp Accident Prevention Manual.
• Hold supervised employees accountable to work safely and productively.
• Supervise represented employees within the guidelines of the applicable working agreement.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities in the assigned area of a plant, in accordance with the company's policies, procedures and guidelines.
• As assigned by a plant manager, responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and development of employees.
• Coach and develop employees through communication and measurement of performance and provide appropriate on-going feedback.
• Implement business objectives, strategies and plans.
• Establish, monitor and control costs.
• Ensure the timely and reliable maintenance of the plant facility.
• Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments, including Administration, Engineering, and Operations.
• Perform project management responsibilities on unit outages, major overhauls and other projects as assigned.
• Prepare Scope of Work documents necessary to obtain firm pricing for contractor work.Requirements
  • The equivalent combination of journeymen level experience and education or bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
  • A minimum of five years of maintenance experience in a power plant or similar industrial facility.
  • Must be flexible and available in responding to after-hour emergencies.
  • Commitment and dedication to manage projects or assignments through completion.
  • Ability to use computer applications for written communication, planning, budgeting and project scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate expectations, coach employees, provide feedback, and work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills to develop and promote cooperative working relationships within their crew, other maintenance crews and among departments.
  • Ability to make timely decisions.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Basic computer skills, including e-mail and word processing. Preferences
    • Supervisory skills including the ability to implement action plans for achieving objectives, and to manage daily operations toward long term objectives.
    • Knowledge of power plant operations and plant systems.
    • Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
    • Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems.
    • Familiarity with precision maintenance practices.
    • Technical knowledge and problem solving skills for maintenance of equipment used in power generation.
    • Experience with bargaining unit environments and collective bargaining agreements.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.

      Hiring Range: $103,800 - $146,400 This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
