This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit,
charitable organization committed to strengthening community
through youth development, healthy living and social
responsibility. The School Age Coordinator at YMCA of Natrona
County maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes

and provides a quality experience to both youth and their families.
The School Age Coordinator is responsible for the organization,
planning, and delivery of quality After School and School Age Camp
programs at the YMCA of Natrona County. The Coordinator works
independently under the general direction of the Senior Director
and is expected to manage the programs, including hiring, staff
training, staff scheduling, curriculum, program innovation,
transportation and quality at all sites. The Coordinator should
have a deep passion for youth, a high level of energy, strong
management skills and work well under pressure. Must be able to

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules
and directs staff, contractors and volunteers as needed. Reviews
and evaluates staff performance and manages payroll. Develops and
monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives. Completes and
submits DFS paperwork in addition to monthly billing for enrolled
participants. Follows all policies, procedures, and standards as
established by the law or the Y (e.g., safety or emergency
procedures, behavior guidance strategies, child abuse prevention
policies, child care licensing regulations); makes ADA
accommodations where appropriate; maintains the program site,
equipment, and required program records. Assists in the marketing
and distribution of program information, organizes and schedules
program registrations. Reviews and processes program scholarship
applications. Coordinates scheduling, safety and use of facilities
(on and off-site) for program activities and events. Manages food
program to provide snacks and meals to program participants.
Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events. Models
relationship-building skills in all interactions. Creates a
positive rapport and shared interests with all youth and staff.
Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a
timely manner. Actively participates in branch and department staff
meetings and/or related training. Implements curriculum and assists
in creation of innovative programming including the incorporation
of Y core values and character development, S.T.E.A.M, physical
activity, arts & crafts, and snacks Works to achieve program
enrollment goals and other departmental goals and objectives
Interacts and problem solves with parents and families of program
participants as issues arise Manage schedules for after school bus
transportation, assist with driver certification, training and
compliance, bus and transportation safety and maintenance issues

*NOTE: School year position runs from September - May and is a
part-time (30 hours/week) position. Summer position runs from May -
August and is a full-time (40 hour/week position). Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: Required – Must have current CPR/1st Aid
Certification or obtain within first 30 days of employment
Required- Valid WY driver's license with insurable drivers record.
High School Diploma or GED, plus some additional training in
related field/topics Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in
childcare licensing, classroom education &/or youth programming
Proven track record of successful and innovative program management
Successful experience in supervision and managing others Experience
with budgetary responsibility, including sound financial management
skills Demonstrated success leading youth programming or equivalent
team Demonstrated leadership, dependability & flexibility in work
hours Complete within 30 days of hire: YMCA cause & culture
training; program-specific training; Child Abuse Prevention
Training; CPR; First Aid (some trainings must be completed prior to
1st day of work). Must meet state licensing requirements for
Director position, if applicable Must meet annual training hour
requirements for duration of position Ability to relate effectively
to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments
of the community and successful clearance of background check WORK
